One of the largest MSCI offices in the world, the project showcases how global design standards can be balanced successfully with local needs and aesthetic desires.
THE PROJECT
With more than thirty offices around the world, MSCI’s design objectives are to express its values while displaying the colorful cultures of each region. The Budapest office design was preceded by extensive research, including on-site monitoring of activities, focus groups and staff interviews. The resulting agile multifunctional work environment showcases MSCI’s evolving design principles.
The project expanded existing space, integrating both old and new. Uniform application of the previous design was done in a way that supports the expression of MSCI’s development. Moveable furniture and whiteboards were applied in meeting rooms and open spaces. The range of furniture types facilitates easy adaptation of different work needs. The use of sustainably produced products and responsibly managed product lifecycles were prioritized.
Bright colors and bold patterns express MSCI’s avant-garde approach to research and development. Tones selected radiate serenity in open workspaces to help focus, while social spaces are optimized with vibrant colors.
