The acoustic performance of a space is based on the background sound level (usually due to HVAC) in the space; reverberation in the space (affected by the amount and location of sound absorbing materials), and acoustic isolation or acoustic privacy (determined by sound transmission through partitions and doors). Teknion’s wall solutions provide superior sound absorbtion (NRC) and sound isolation (STC), providing a well-balanced acoustic environment. We rigorously test our walls for their acoustic capabilities. Our solid and glass fascias are tested in a state-of-the art acoustic facility ensuring a premium product that meets both ratings as well as our clients individual needs. Teknion’s comprehensive wall program delivers a varied range of acoustic performance between product lines to suit all levels of acoustic privacy desired. Our offering includes single glazing, double glazing and solid fascias. At the forefront of acoustic performance, we’ve designed two fascias that seamlessly integrate with our walls. Tackable fabric fascia & metal microperf, have been designed to absorb sound, avoiding harsh echoing environments. They are available with select Architectural and Panel fabrics with a consistent fabric wrapped corner detail and painted metal surface available in Teknion’s standard painted offering.

Teknion Architectural Interiors wall programs have all been designed to integrate into existing building architecture with ease. Each program has been designed to accommodate site variances including leveling and curvature within the buildings architecture. Components such as wall starts, leveling beams and articulating components make the integration process seamless. Having wall products integrate into building structures allow for less site disruption and faster, cleaner installations. This also opens up the possibility of reconfiguration in the future with minor architectural changes.
The beauty of Teknion Architectural Interiors wall programs is that they can be seamlessly integrated together. Each system specializes in different aspects of a project to meet all needs for each individual project. For example, Optos storefront provides a minimal wall presence with glass to glass seams while still providing space division, paired with Altos allows for functionality within the space. The two products used together provides a aesthetically pleasing yet versatile and functional space.
Technology can be easily integrated into any of our wall programs. Room schedulers such as iPads and third-party security technology can be integrated onto any of our frames without compromising the aesthetic. Tek Pier provides a fully integrated, technology supported workspace that has been integrated into the Altos frame structure. Its movable display on a height-adjustable worksurface provides an ergonomic collaboration experience. Tek Pier provides superior integration of technology to facilitate collaboration and electrical access for users (HDMI, USB, Power). The shroud effectively hides cords and excess wires to maintain a clean and organized surface at all times. Altos walls are 4 inches thick with 2½" of accessible, clear cavity space that allows wires to be run horizontally and vertically. Altos accepts three types of electrics, both hard-wired and quick-disconnect systems; as well as standard off-the-shelf UL/CSA approved boxes. All of Altos removable fascias provide accessible access to building for servicing and electrical inspections.
