Teknion Corporation announced today that four of its new workplace products – Journal casegoods, Livello Counterbalance Height-Adjustable Worktable, Thesis Learning and Library Tables, and Variable Multi-Purpose Seating – earned 2015 Green Good Design Awards. The Green Good Design competition is sponsored by The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.

“Architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning projects, product, packaging and graphic designs from over 20 nations were awarded with Green Good Design 2015, representing the world’s most important manufacturers and design firms and leading Fortune 500 companies that are forwarding a new emphasis on a more sustainable design and environment worldwide,” said Ioannis Karalias, Museum Vice President, The Chicago Athenaeum.

“Teknion is proud to be part of a growing group of international design leaders committed to sustainable design,” said Scott Deugo, Teknion’s Chief Sales and Sustainability Officer. “Recognition such as the Green Good Design Awards is further proof that our clients are providing their employees with some of the safest, most sustainable workplace products on the market.”

JOURNAL CASEGOODS

Journal enables the private office to function for focused, individual work, yet easily transform to accommodate more collaborative team environments. Designed by Christopher Wright, assisted by Steve Tsai of figure3.

LIVELLO COUNTERBALANCE HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE WORKTABLE

Livello Counterbalance tables provide sit-to-stand height adjustability between 28 and 48 inches (71 and 122 cm). It employs a proprietary counterbalance mechanism – like no other load-balancing table on the market.

THESIS LEARNING AND LIBRARY TABLES

Thesis takes a holistic approach to educational furniture by combining learning and library tables in one product line. It can be used for collaborative group spaces or independent learning alternatives.

VARIABLE MULTI-PURPOSE SEATING
Variable provides a common chair for multiple needs across a floorplate. Variable is ideal for informal, flexible spaces where reconfiguration is encouraged, maximizing space is important, budget matters, but durability and style are still critical. Designed by Alessandro Piretti.
