Teknion Studio today announced the preview of Infinito Lounge Seating + Masalla Tables designed by Toan Nguyen at NeoCon. NeoCon, the commercial interiors industry’s most important annual event, runs from June 15-17, at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
From break-out spaces to reception areas, executive offices and beyond, Infinito + Masalla embodies the traditional applications of a lounge group while adding verve and functionality to any environment. Infinito brings a traditional lounge look with a not-so-classic feel to any scenario. Designed with an intentional rigid exterior and a soft, relaxed interior, Lounge Chair, Settee and Three-Seat Sofa configurations extend the comfort of home to the office.
"Infinito is extremely versatile. Based on a square modularity, it can generate many different configurations and combinations, involving all four directions and interacting with the surrounding architectural space. Each element can be used standalone in the most traditional layouts, or be combined to create island situations," said Toan Nguyen. "The low height and compact proportions favor the conviviality and interaction of users, while privacy is obtained by taking advantage of the freedom of orientation in the cluster arrangements."
The Infinito lounge collection was born from an unexpected contrast of geometrical and linear exterior expressions, and a smooth and ergonomic perception of the interior. Visual contrast is emphasized by the possibility of using different colors and materials for the inner and outer coating.
Infinito is complemented by Masalla, a collection of occasional tables based on the same concept of versatility. Masalla tables with Infinito seating create environments that plan as traditional reception settings with coffee tables, or in collaborative scenarios. Masalla tables are available in square and rectangular shapes with multiple storage options. Storage boxes with mix-and-match colors form a table base unmatched in beauty and function. Color application in specified zones within table configurations is flexible.
Select Infinito + Masalla pieces follow a dimensional footprint, allowing multiple planning scenarios. It’s up to the user to create simple modules in an almost unlimited number of personalized configurations, from the more minimalist and monochrome to the more colorful compositions.
