Teknion Corporation announced today that its Atlanta and Chicago showrooms have been awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Commercial Interiors 2.0 Gold by the United States Green Building Council. Teknion now has a total of eight showrooms in North America certified to a LEED standard.

Atlanta and Chicago mark the fifth and sixth Teknion showrooms, respectively, in the U.S. to attain LEED certification from USGBC. The company’s Santa Monica, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., showrooms received LEED Gold certification, and the Boston space, LEED Silver. Teknion’s Ottawa showroom attained LEED Silver and Montreal LEED Platinum for Commercial Interiors from the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC).
The 7,300-square-foot L-shaped Atlanta showroom was designed by Vanderbyl Design. tvsdesign was the architect of record. LEED Green Building Certification Program
The LEED green building certification program is a voluntary, consensus-based national rating system for buildings designed, constructed and operated for improved environmental and human health performance.
